Please remember, that Medicare doesn’t cover most dental care. This is a common misconception, and many people look for dentists who accept Medicare. Medicare may cover some emergency or complex dental procedures, generally if they’re done in a hospital. However, general check-ups, cleanings, and procedures such as fillings and crowns are not covered by Medicare. If you’re on Medicare and need dental care, please be aware that you will either need insurance or will pay out-of-pocket. Unfortunately, there are not common “Medicare dentists” who can offer subsidized procedures to Medicare patients. That being said, Sonrisa dentists do have a range of affordable options, from sliding scale payments to dental payment plans, to help minimize the cost.
Most dental treatments are covered by Medicaid for children and qualified adults. Every state in the US provides dental care to children whose families are on Medicaid and adults who qualify for coverage. Sonrisa is currently credentialed with most Managed Care Organizations (MCO’s). So if you or your children are on Medicaid, call one of our practices and let one of our Medicaid dentists help keep your teeth clean and healthy.

Please bring the necessary forms and/or cards with you on your first visit. Please be aware that insurance policies might only cover a portion of the total treatment cost.
